The Pyrographic
artwork are all original pieces which are burnt and
shaded with a hot nib, some are then hand painted
to give a hint of colour. In some pieces the grain,
figure and any natural faults in the wood is used
to form part of the picture. The finished piece is
then sealed and waxed. These are sold at galleries,
exhibitions and by commission. Portraits and commissioned
works are done on Sycamore and can be commissioned
to any size within the limitations of the wood. .
The wood is all locally sourced whenever possible
and from managed woodlands. My inspiration comes from
various sources including magazines, my own photography
and my love of the natural world. Customers can also
provide their own photographs or pictures for any
commissions. |
