Walking and working sticks is committed to protecting your privacy.
Walking and working sticks does NOT store any financial details (credit or debit card numbers). Walking and working sticks does not sell, rent or trade your financial details (credit or debit card numbers) to third parties taken through the web site or over the phone. The information we receive is solely for the use of Walking and working sticks to process your order. All financial details (credit or debit card numbers) are destroyed once the order is processed.

If you choose to place an order or contact us through the website, the contact information collected is your name, your address, your phone number, your email address and any credit or debit card details. Once transmitted from the website, other than your name ,email address and your phone number, no other contact data or financial details (credit or debit card numbers) is stored on any computer system. This ensures that your financial details (credit or debit card numbers) can not be seen by any third party using the web to try to maliciously obtain personal and financial data. Should you choose to remove the contact details we have received, we will act on receipt of your instructions.

The placing of an order by phone or email will be taken as acceptance of the Terms and Conditions.
Orders accompanied by a cheque will be held for clearance. Please allow up to 10 days.
Carved Animal sticks made to order, it will be almost impossible to get a carving to look exactly like a photograph. "Artistic licence" must be accepted in that the stick will have an appearance similar to the photograph but may not be identical. When ordering any item, goods sent out will not be identical to any picture shown on Walking and working sticks. If the contents are damaged upon delivery you must advise Walking and working sticks by e-mail immediately and return them, carefully packed, with the original packaging enclosed so that we can claim against the carrier service if nessesary. this remains at the discretion of walking and working sticks then a replacement or rectification work will be provided within a reasonable time limit. If you do not return the packaging, we will not be able to claim. If the product has broken, it should be returned and a full refund will be given upon satisfaction that the product has not been mis-used, treated in an inappropriate manner or used for something they are not designed for. Please note that wooden crooks are NOT suitable for working with livestock, therefore in doing so it is at your own risk and you accept the terms and conditions on placing a order. Wooden crooks that have been used for working with livestock will NOT be replaced or repaired. If a item is purchased from stock and then personalized you will be required to pay in full for the item and any work carried out on it. Personalized items CANNOT be returned or replaced and no refund will be given. Please contact Walking and working sticks before returning anything. If part of the order is missing when the package arrives please get in touch with Walking and working sticks immediately.
Deposits are non-refundable
We reserve the right to alter the above terms and conditions without notice as and when trading conditions demand .

Payment

Cash, cheques, Postal Orders and major Debit & Credit Cards are accepted. We accept credit/debit cards including VISA, MASTERCARD, MAESTRO, SOLO, Visa ELECTRON and PAYPAL. We accept UK sterling cheques drawn on a UK bank, UK sterling Postal Orders and UK sterling cash. We also accept International Money Orders IN POUNDS STERLING. If you don't use a credit/debit card, your order will be delayed by the amount of time it takes your payment to reach us and be cleared. If you send cash, please use Special Delivery as it is the only delivery service that guarantees delivery of cash and insures you against its loss. If cash fails to reach us we will not be held responsible and will not post any goods. If you DO NOT pay by card we will not send out any goods until payment is received. All orders must be covered by full remittance,
If you DO pay by card and it is declined by your Card Company or bank we will email you as soon as possible. If you fail to respond to our email your order will be cancelled within a week.

Delivery Policy

As most orders are normally shipped with in 48 hours of receipt subject to being in stock. Delivery of any commissioned items with be considerably longer. You will be advised on a time scale for this. If any items are out of stock you will be advised on an estimated delivery time.
Orders may be cancelled in writing via email and with out penalty, up to 24 hours after the order has been placed.
First Class Post within the UK (including Northern Ireland) - usually gets you the goods within 3 working days. Small packages up to approximately 1.5 kgs. Parcel Post within the UK for lower value heavy and bulky items normally delivered within four or five working days of posting. Medium sized packages up to approximately 2.5 kgs. Please note that the Shopping Cart will calculate an approximate cost of shipping. If the actual cost is significantly higher we will verify it with you before shipping.
Customers outside the UK may be required to pay additional shipping surcharges in addition to those estimated by the "shipping calculator", local taxes or import duties. Walking and working sticks has no control over these and can not be held responsible if you have to pay them. If ordering from outside the UK or Europe please Email in the first instance for delivery charges. Certain countries have restrictions on length and materials.

Returns - as covered by The Distance Selling Regulations 1998

You have the right to return unwanted "off the shelf" goods to us for refund, provided that you ordered from us via this web site and provided that you tell us within 7 days of receipt. You have 28 days to return the goods but must tell us you are cancelling within 7 days. For a refund insure to pack goods undamaged and adequately in there original packaging including your full details, and we recommend you insure them in case of loss or damage since we will not be liable unless we receive the goods in a "as new" condition. You will receive a refund excluding our original cost of Postage, packing and Handling (unless you are returning goods that we sent in error, in which case P+P will also be refunded). If you commission an item and we have already made or started to make a stick or other item for you then you will have to pay for it. By commissioning a stick or other item you accept the terms and conditions. If we have gone to extra expense to make or obtain any item especially for you then we may also deduct an additional charge to cover this. A fee of £1 is charged to cover the cost of a card refund.
Sticks or other items that are made to your specifications, ie..personalized with names, dates etc are NON-RETURNABLE and must be paid for in full. By pre-ordering such an item you agree to this condition. A deposit may be charged. Such an order may be cancelled at any time before work on the order has begun, but a cancellation fee may be charged. Once work has begun, you must pay in full for the work.
